Crane installing a prefabricated housing module on a plot

Coverage

Delivery and installation in ten countries

We manufacture on the Iberian Peninsula and deliver across Western Europe, with special transport, road permits and our own installation crew.

Where we deliver

Transport times counted from completion of manufacturing. Transport is quoted per destination, once we know where the plot is.

Islands and insular regions are served by sea freight. The cost of transport depends on the distance, the number of modules, whether an escort is required and each country's road charges, which is why it is always quoted per destination rather than from a list.

How special transport works

A finished housing module is an indivisible large-volume load. A 40 foot container is 12.19 metres long and a light steel module can reach 4 metres wide, which exceeds normal circulation limits and requires specific permits, signage and, above certain widths, escort vehicles.

  • Up to 2.55 m wide: normal circulation, no special permit.
  • 2.55 to 3.00 m: abnormal load permit, signage and restricted hours in some countries.
  • 3.00 to 4.00 m: permit, signage, pilot vehicle and frequently an escort. Routes approved in advance.

This matters for your decision: a wider module gives better interior space but costs more to move. On long-distance projects we size modules to fit within the 2.55 metre normal circulation limit whenever the layout allows.

Installation day

The crane arrives at dawn, sets up outriggers and makes a first test lift. Each module is placed onto the completed foundations, levelled to millimetre precision and fixed. Then come the module-to-module connections, double-barrier joint sealing, cladding closures and final water, drainage and electrical connections. A single module is finished in a day; a four-module duplex takes three to four.

Requirements

What the site must guarantee

01

Road access

Minimum 3.5 m width, turning radii compatible with a semi-trailer and no weight limits on the final approach.

02

Crane area

Firm, level surface for outriggers, with a swing radius clear of overhead cables and tall trees.

03

Foundations ready

Footings or slab poured and cured before the installation date, with levels verified by survey.

04

Connections available

Water, power and drainage connections accessible, or an off-grid solution already installed.

05

Unloading area

Room for the truck to manoeuvre and park safely during the lifting operation.

06

Local authorisations

Road occupation or traffic closure permits, where needed, arranged in advance.

FAQ

Delivery: specific questions

Do you deliver to islands?

Yes, to the Azores, Madeira and the Balearics, with sea freight quoted case by case. Cost and lead time rise significantly and the crane operation at destination has to be arranged locally.

Who pays for the crane?

The crane is included in the installation line of our quotation, sized for the reach and load of your project. If access requires a larger crane than the initial assessment assumed, the difference is communicated and approved before the operation.

What if it rains on installation day?

Light rain does not stop the operation. Wind above the crane's safety limit does — in which case we postpone, typically to the following day. Modules are sealed in the factory and are unaffected by the wait.
